I recently had the opportunity to explore a country I hadn't thought much about in a very long time - Germany! In high school we had German exchange students come for a little while and I had a blast with them, but I guess I have always had ambitions of visiting more touristy locations. The beauty of my job is I get to go places and meet people from all over the world. I headed out with a group to Hennef, Germany. It is near Bonn and Cologne, Germany.
Near Hennef is an even smaller town called Blankenburg. And let me tell you, I fell in love. You would not believe how INCREDIBLY beautiful that town is!!
This is seriously my happy place. What I would give to be able to go and sit on that ledge over looking that beautiful scenery and just read on a summer day. I really think I will make it a point to go back there. Anywhere that makes me that happy surely is worth a re-visit.
